Day 6. Lightning Ridge. 11.6.25

Beautiful walk along the Moonie River this morning. 







The reflections on the water were beautiful. 



Our first stop was in Thallon to see the painted silos and sculptures.
We have seen the silos and William the wombat before but the other sculptures are new.










I drove from just outside of Thallon to Dirranbandi. 
Quick stop at Hebel to make lunch before crossing the border into NSW. By the time we arrived at the Opal caravan park, set up and made a cuppa it was time to watch the Mel & Susie show. These ladies are very funny bush poets.
After dinner we went for a walk to the thermal pools. Although they felt a little cooler than other years the temperature was still around 40°
Today we travelled 235kms.
